Relationship with my fellow man…
God determined in His great plan that love is horizontal and vertical. Vertical to God and horizontal to man. We were not created to be alone on our own island, nor to live in a glass box.
Yet this relationship with our fellow human beings is probably one of the most difficult relationships to have. Jesus’ command is to love one another, which is how He will know we are God’s child. But oh dear, it’s not an easy task at all. We as humans are so petty and struggle to make these relationships work. For those who love us, yes, it is easier, but for those who do not love us and annoy us, well!!
Relationships with our fellow human beings are also different. There is relationship with your parents, your siblings, your husband or wife, your children. Then also with your family, aunts and uncles, cousins and also further back like grandmothers and grandfathers. It doesn’t stop there, there are relationships with colleagues at work, brothers and sisters in church, and then stranger and those who have harmed you.
Yet it is very important to work on all these relationships and therefore we are going to learn through the step in the Word how we can work on each of these relationships from God’s point of view.
